Kenya’s musical culture is slowly maturing with Nyashinski’s ‘Showman’ residency set to raise the bar. The theatrical music experience is scheduled for April 4th-12th 2026, at The Carnivore, Nairobi. The announcement was first made public on November 21, 2025.
The SONY-signed rapper is seeking to expand his stage production, building up on his Shin City concept. The experience is happening over 8 days, featuring unique choreography, stage performance and storytelling.
According to the official statement from his team, the residency schedule will run as follows:
Saturday, April 4th (1 show),
Sunday, April 5th (2 shows),
Wednesday, April 8th (1 VIP show),
Saturday, April 11th (1 show),
and Sunday, April 12th (2 shows).
He will take a break for 4 days in between shows on April 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th.
The Perfect Design hit-maker is not partnering with any ticketing company. The tickets are only available at his website.
Shin City was an exclusive and immersive experience blending music, storytelling, and interactive fan experiences. The events were uniquely themed and branded for high-energy performances. The inaugural show was held in April 2022 at Carnivore, Nairobi and another edition was held in Eldoret.
Fans are eager about this first one-of-a-kind residency. What will be different in terms of set-up and perfomance and overall experience? Which artists will he bring out? Will there be an immersive metaverse intergration? It will also be his first time perfoming his latest album “Yariasu” live.
